How to Report a Streetlight Outage

Streetlight outages within Scott Township can be reported directly to Duquesne Light Company using their online outage reporting system.

Before You Begin

If the streetlight pole is damaged, a wire is down, or another hazardous condition exists, do not submit an online report. Call Duquesne Light’s emergency line at 412-393-7000.

  2. Enter the Streetlight Location

    Enter the street address associated with the streetlight. Streetlight addresses may be formatted differently than residential addresses. For example, 506 Anderson Ave may appear as Anderson 506 Ave.

  3. Locate the Light on the Map

    If the address is not listed, select “My Address Is Not Listed” and use the map to pinpoint the exact location.

  4. Verify Whether Power Is Out

    Check whether only the streetlight is affected or if there is a larger power outage in the area. If multiple properties are without power, report a power outage instead.

  5. Identify Hazardous Conditions

    Hazardous conditions include downed wires, damage to the pole, or other safety concerns. If a hazardous condition exists, call Duquesne Light at 412-393-7000.

    Choose whether the issue affects a single streetlight, multiple streetlights, or private area lighting.

    Select whether the light is always on, always off, flickering, or if the issue is unknown.
