Real Estate Tax Information
Jordan Tax Service has been responsible for collecting all Scott Township Real Estate Taxes since June 28, 2022, and mails all real estate tax statements to property owners.
If you refinance your home, change mortgage companies, update your mailing address, or pay off your mortgage, please contact Jordan Tax Service at 724-731-2311 so their records can be updated.
For your convenience, Scott Township’s phone system includes menu options that will direct callers to Jordan Tax Service for questions regarding real estate taxes, earned income taxes, and Act 511 taxes. Residents may still contact the Township Tax Collector through her designated menu option.

Please be advised, effective January 27, 2026, Jordan Tax Service, Inc. was appointed as the Tax Collector for the Township of Scott. All Township and School Real Estate Tax payments should be mailed to their office; an envelope is provided for your convenience.
If you would like to make payment in person, a Jordan Tax Service representative will be available at the Scott Township Municipal Building (301 Lindsay Road) on the scheduled dates and times during the discount periods.

Jordan Tax Service collects all Scott Township Act 511 taxes.

Tax Information
- Earned Income Tax: 1% and must be paid quarterly to avoid penalties.
- Mercantile Tax: .001 on wholesale sales and .0015 on retail sales.
- Local Services Tax: $52.00 annually.
All residents earning a salary are responsible for contacting Jordan Tax Service to ensure they are added to the tax rolls. Please notify Jordan Tax Service of any address changes, name changes, or move-out dates.
Additional Information
- Earned Income Tax is paid to the municipality where the taxpayer resides.
- Local Services Tax (formerly the Occupation Tax) is paid to the municipality where the taxpayer works.
- If your employer withholds wage taxes, verify that payments are being remitted to Jordan Tax Service.
- Scott Township’s PSD Code is 730504.
Township Ordinance #1136-81 requires owners of rental properties and rental agents to provide Jordan Tax Service with current tenant information, including names, addresses, and move-in dates.
Pennsylvania Homeowners Assistance Fund (PAHAF)
The Pennsylvania Homeowners Assistance Fund (PAHAF) reopened its assistance program on March 18, 2024.
The PAHAF (Pennsylvania Homeowners Assistance Fund) has reopened their assistance fund on March 18, 2024.
Property tax assistance is limited to years 2022 and earlier. Delinquent 2023 taxes are not in imminent threat for tax sale until 2025.
Documentation Required
- Government Issued photo I.D
- Deed or proof of ownership
- Social security number verification
- IRS 1040 for 2022 or 2023 for all household members over the age of 18
All Applicable Delinquent Statement, Bills, and Fees, Which Could Include:
- Mortgage statement
- Utility statement(s)
- Real estate property tax bills
Documents in the Application Portal to Complete:
- Third party authhorization
- homeowner attestation
- Income attestation
If you have used this program in the past, you can still use it, but only for taxes and utilities that you have not received help on in the past from PAHAF.
Property must be located in PA, owner occupied as primary residence, and your household income must meet AMI requirements.

Effective November 15, 2024, sewer bill payments are no longer processed at the Township Municipal Building. Beginning on that date, Jordan Tax Service became responsible for processing sewer bills and collecting payments.
Residents may continue to drop off payments in the deposit box located at the Township offices. However, any payments mailed after November 15, 2024, should be sent directly to:

Beginning January 15, 2025, residents will receive quarterly sewer bills issued by Jordan Tax Service. Please note that sewer payments are no longer accepted through the Township website.
