With the extreme heat taking place this week, the following locations are being made available as cooling centers for township residents in need of shelter during operating hours today (Tuesday), Wednesday and Thursday.

• Scott Township Public Library (301 Lindsay Road), 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
• Jewish Community Center – South Hills (345 Kane Blvd.), 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. Please stop at the front desk to let them know you will be using the lobby as a cooling center.
